Project Examples
Small teams of Game Programming Advanced Diploma students will work on creating a short VR or AR experience in the context of our Unity Game Engine course. Our students have access to HTC Vives and Oculus Rifts for VR experiences and a Microsoft Hololens and Magic Leap for AR experiences. They will work with you to assess your current needs and develop and execute solutions. Depending on your needs, students can address the following:
- Prototype a simple VR experience tailored to your needs
- Prototype a simple AR experience tailored to your needs
- Insight into whether VR or AR would be more suitable for your needs
- Insight into whether the Unity or Unreal Game Engine is suitable for your needs
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address student's questions.
Be available for a call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course, be available for a check-in call, if required.
Provide a sketch or video of the type of experience needed and whether it is a VR or AR experience.
Provide all 2D art, 3D models (placeholders work well) and sound effects needed for VR or AR experience.
Provide artboards sketching out the key User Interface on-screen and the flow between screens/objects
Provide a detailed game design document outlining features of game prototype required.
