problem solving competitive analysis data analytics critical thinking researchPlacements are an integral part of Humber College’s Research Analyst Graduate Certificate Program. The placement component of the program occurs at the end of the program and typically requires students completing a research-specific placement. These placements provide employers with students who have specialized skills in research design and project management, survey design, data collection methods, and data analysis, visualization and presentation. All students hold a bachelor’s degree and many have higher credentials along with specializations in research.
Students are available for 200+ hours of placement from May 2022 to July 2022
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.

Student deliverables are based on the needs of the employer.
Employers can have multiple students work as part of the placement.
Remuneration is strongly encouraged but not required. Honorariums are also acceptable.
Project Examples
Students from this program are qualified to work on various areas of research such as:
· Research Design
· Information retrieval and evaluation
· Qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and interpretation
· Preparation and presentation of research findings
· Proposal writing
· Project management
· Communication of research findings
· Creation of research tools
Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:
A representative of the company will be available to answer questions from students in a timely manner for the duration of the project.
A representative of the company will be available for a pre-selection discussion with the administrator of the internship program to review the project scope.
Remuneration strongly encouraged. Honorariums also acceptable. Paid placements typically start at $16.00 an hour. Honorariums approximately $2000.00
Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic/weekly emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' and the placement coordinator's questions.
Be available for phone calls to initiate your relationship with the placement coordinator and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course. Weekly interaction with student(s)
If we move forward with internship, employers are asked to complete our Placement Confirmation Form for students, and two brief assessments of the students' work.
