Phase 1 – Project Plan: Student-consultants will meet with organization representative(s) to familiarise themselves with your product/service and devise the project scope.

Phase 2 – Project Execution: Students will work on deliverables outlined in the project plan. Teams will periodically communicate with organization representative(s) as needed to complete project tasks.

Phase 3 - Outcome - Report and Presentation: Students will submit a marketing and sales plan with actionable recommendations. Teams will also present this in the last class. Organization representative(s) are invited to attend these presentations.

Requirements

Starting this May, student-consultants in groups of 4 will spend 160 hours per team analyzing and developing a marketing or sales strategy for your organization's new B2B product or service launch.

The plan will help assess risks and opportunities while setting priorities and a strategic focus. Components of the plan will also determine key performance indicators and establish internal accountability measures. This plan will serve as a road map to your successful product/service launch.

Project examples may include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing a current product/service that is underperforming.
  • Researching/highlighting potential prospects for new product/service.
  • Developing a plan to properly scale growth for new product/service.
