economic development localization community resilience social justice environmental issue animations editingCalgary Dollars is a program of the Arusha Centre, a collectively run, member-supported organisation that provides resources and initiatives on social justice and environmental issues. We help Calgarians through community economic development and community resilience programs which offer varied practical resources, animating activities which educate, and inspire and connect with and between people and projects.
We value localization; communities, place-based networks of individuals, business and groups, relationships, engagement and collaboration.
We value sustainability; human and environmental interrelationships, for a prosperous future of our communities, future generations, and the Earth.
We value social justice and are committed to building an equitable society where all life is respected.
We would like to collaborate with students to create a Calgary Dollars video.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Familiarizing themselves with the Calgary Dollars, our mission and programming.
- Create a video outline with input from C$ team
- Recording content for the video
- Finding and applying suitable background music.
- Adding text, transitions, and overlays to the video.
- Presenting the video and making edits based on feedback.
- Recommending ideas and editing tools for future awareness videos.
By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:
- Understanding of the Calgary Dollars, our mission and goals
- Development of an awareness video
- Revising the video based on feedback
- Recommending ideas and tools for future videos
Final deliverables should include
- A finalized video.
Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:
- Our organizationโs mission and goals
- Our awareness campaigns
- Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
