Details

The primary goal of the project at PARKER HR Consulting is to engage student volunteers in a grant writing and research initiative, specifically tailored to our B2B consulting services in British Columbia. This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on experience in grant writing and research while offering essential support to our business clients. The project seeks to:

  • Empower students: Offer students in British Columbia the opportunity to gain practical experience in grant writing, research, and professional development within the context of B2B HR consulting services.
  • Support local businesses: Provide businesses in British Columbia with specialized grant application support, increasing their access to funding opportunities and promoting regional economic growth.
  • Foster collaboration: Create a collaborative environment where students and our consulting firm work together to achieve common goals, benefiting both parties.
  • Make a positive regional impact: Enhance the chances of local businesses receiving grant funding, contributing to their growth and success, and strengthening the business community in British Columbia.
  • Strengthen the student-business connection: Build a bridge between students, PARKER HR Consulting, and the local B2B community, fostering relationships and growth for all stakeholders

Deliverables

To achieve the project goal of engaging student volunteers to support grant writing and research for PARKER HR Consulting in British Columbia, learners will need to complete various tasks. These tasks are designed to empower students, support local businesses, and contribute to the project's overall success. Here are some of the key tasks learners will need to complete:

  1. Training and Orientation: Students will need to attend training and orientation sessions to familiarize themselves with the project's goals, grant writing and research processes, and the specific needs of PARKER HR Consulting's B2B clients in British Columbia.
  2. Research and Grant Identification: Learners will conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the business needs and goals of clients in British Columbia.
  3. Data Analysis and Impact Assessment: Students will analyze data related to clients' projects and initiatives, assessing their potential impact on the local business community.
  4. Grant Proposal Development: Learners will collaborate with the consulting team to craft persuasive and well-researched grant proposals tailored to the unique needs of B2B clients in British Columbia.
  5. Document Preparation: Students will compile organized grant application packages, ensuring all required documents, budgets, and supporting materials are included for clients.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Effective collaboration and communication with the consulting team and clients are essential to ensure the success of grant applications.
  7. Review and Quality Assurance: Learners will review and quality-check grant proposals and application packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client objectives.
  8. Submission and Follow-Up: Students will assist in the submission of grant applications and may need to follow up with grant agencies or organizations as necessary.
  9. Professional Development: Participating students will gain valuable professional development and networking opportunities through their involvement in the project.
  10. Feedback and Reporting: Learners may be required to provide regular feedback and reports on their progress and the outcomes of grant applications.

Mentorship
Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. We encourage students to do their own research to understand the basics and differences between the different marketing methods. Information is readily available on the web. Regular feedback sessions will be held to review progress, provide constructive feedback on grant proposals, and address any challenges or questions that learners may have. Students' contributions will be recognized and acknowledged through certificates, letters of recommendation, and professional references to enhance their future prospects.

  • Recommendation and Certificate of completion
  • Company T-shirts, Gift Cards, or Travel Mugs
  • Brunch with the CEO at our Vancouver Office at the closure of the project.
