Details

SkildLabs is an official Canva Creator Partner, Element Contributor, and Platform Champion 😃

The student(s) hired for this project would be able to work with the SkildLabs Team to submit SVG illustrations and functional/engaging templates to the Canva marketplace. The work produced would have the potential to be seen by more than 60 million people worldwide.

The project aims to help aspiring storytellers from all fields who might not be proficient in graphic design to leverage the power of Canva to become better visual communicators.

Deliverables

SkildLabs is seeking a graphic designer (x3) who can support the development of templates, creative elements, and activities within the Canva universe. Based on their interests and skillset, each student would cover a particular "creative group" which they will have to design for and be the lead in:

  1. Static and Animated Social Media
  2. The YouTuber/Vlogger Starter Pack
  3. Futuristic 3D Characters and Elements
  4. The Modern Workplace: Brainstorming and Collaboration
  5. Creative Element for Websites

In addition, the project would also involve:

  • Utilize data and external research to inform your design practices and development.
  • Find ways to create a unique voice for the SkildLabs brand that resonates with the target audience of each group.
Mentorship

Every student would receive a virtual onboarding package tailored to their particular project and career goals! In addition, for the duration of their project, the students would also get the chance to:

  • Learn about the latest developments in educational technology, data-driven design, and visual storytelling.
  • Meet with the CEO/Founder on a weekly/monthly basis for 1:1 mentorship sessions. The sessions would focus on discussions related to project progress, personal branding, networking opportunities, and career guidance.
  • Complete an introductory LinkedIn Learning course on "Canva for UX Brainstorming and Collaboration" developed by the SkildLabs Team to help them understand the capabilities of Canva as a platform for visual communication.
  • Receive a free Canva Pro account (as a seat on the SkildLabs Team)

Lastly, depending on the students' comfort level, there could be an opportunity for them to host a LinkedIn Learning Office Hour and engage with a real audience.
