marketing strategies target market value propositions marketing fundraisingWe want students to help us build a marketing strategy plan to grow and engage our target market. Our target market based on our database share the following characteristics: Seniors who are now retired. Most of our donors live in the Richmond and Vancouver area. Our organization resides in Surrey and high income households with parents and are financially stable.
We’d like to know how we can maximize use of different channels and get recommendations to improve our messaging.
The main questions we’d like students to help us answer are the following:
- How do students currently perceive our brand and marketing, based on publicly available information about our company?
- What channels should we utilize for promotion, including ones we are not currently using?
- What budget is appropriate for advertising, given our goals?
- How could our messaging be updated to better explain our value proposition?
- What effective marketing and fundraising strategies are trending for 2022?
A report on how people perceive our company's brand and marketing efforts. We would like the report to include what channels we should utilize for promotion, what budget is appropriate for our goals, and how our messaging could be updated to better explain our value proposition. Lastly, we would like a report on trending and effective marketing practices and channels for 2022/ post pandemic.
Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship and supervision throughout the project. I am happy to make myself more available at the beginning of the project and can be available 2x weekly to support students.
About the company
Who We Are: British Columbia is home to the only SOS Children’s Village in Canada and was
built in 2001 where 2.5 acres and 5 homes became the heart of SOS BC. SOS Children’s
Village BC is a community of belonging and provides a family-based model of care to improve
and sustain the quality of life for children who require alternative care. SOS BC holistically
enhances the development and healing of these children by addressing their physical, social,
emotional, and cultural needs. We actively create opportunities and programs for children to
become responsible and contributing members of society. We seek long term stability for the
children and families in our Village including a strong focus on transition to adulthood and family
reunification programming.
