The research assistants will support the research initiatives under the guidance of the research faculty. Areas of inquiry include: tourism, hospitality, international travel, data analysis of several markets (Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Brazil, with the possible inclusion of European markets as well)

The position requires skills in data retrieval and manipulation, and data display, in addition to research agility.

The project may include, but is not limited to:

  • Formulation of surveys.
  • Determining research approaches and strategies to test hypotheses.
  • Overseeing complex data collection, internal data manipulation, and data storage utilizing existing tools.
  • Planning and performing the outlines and looking after data retrieval and analysis (eg, big data analysis) using existing tools and methods.
  • Benchmark research of competitors within relevant markets.
  • Database analysis per age group, travel interests, family size, etc.
  • Responsible for complex tasks in relation to data retrieval and analysis.
  • Writing reports and assisting Marketing Data Analyst.
  • Nice to have: Students who are proactive researching and comfortable utilizing external platforms and research methods. Knowledge of Microsoft Word programs is a must.
