Project: Human City focuses on community-driven projects, and I was fortunate to work on a project that aimed to improve the user experience of a community-based app. The internship offered a flexible work schedule and remote work options, which were convenient for balancing work with school and other commitments. Working with my peers was great, but I would have appreciated more leadership and structure at the organization.

There are a lot of creative ideas in the team, a bit disorganized, but it was an interesting experience.

Company provided a lot of support, with weekly meetings to set different objectives for each week, as well as access to a Slack channel dedicated to your team. Was a great experience that allowed me to improve my knowledge in the topic.

Good setup for the project, and an in-depth explanation of what needed to get done but also left me with independence to choose parts of the project myself. Overall, the company was very open to whatever questions I had regarding the project and offered any help they good.

Working with Project: Human City was a wonderful experience. Very positive. The client was pleasant to talk to and work with, responded well to our requests, and had a great organized collection of data for us to work with right out the gate. I have only a very small list of issues that could have been better. 1) Weekly check-ins. We thought we would be doing weekly check-ins to make sure we were on track and to get feedback, but that cadence was interrupted for a couple of weeks. When we did meet, however, P: HC was very communicative with direction. 2) Scope. We had a difficult time understanding the scope of the project and the expectations for our work by the project deadline. Overall a really great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other groups of students to work with.
