Virtual Internship Opportunity

Bring on one more students from Centennial College in the Project Management or International Business Management programs to be your virtual interns! Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.

Students are available for up to 392 hours starting from May 25th until August 21st. They can work from home. The hours are flexible if an employer is interested in a placement of shorter duration.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.

Project Examples

Requirements

Students can complete a substantial project for your organization over the placement period. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete as well. Providing a central project creates structure for the internship, and gives the student (and company) a tangible goal.

Students are in the Post-Graduate diploma program. All students seeking a placement have work experience, and the vast majority have a prior degree or diploma.

The 5 students seeking virtual placements have skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Project management
  • Marketing
  • Vendor management and communications
  • Accounts receivable, billing and invoicing
  • Business operations and office administration
  • Customer support
  • Preparing budgets and quotes for clients
  • Marketing and sales
  • Event management
  • Software skills represented in this student cohort include: Excel, SPSS, Oracle and SAP SD module, Callidus, CRM systems, GIS and MS Project

If you are interested in offering a virtual placement to one of the 5 students, please submit a project describing one of the major types of work the student would be doing for your organization.
