In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Empower Tomorrow's Workforce: Career Internship Collaboration Opportunity With Portage College
INTD 205
Portage College offers the Career Internship 1 course, a unique opportunity for second-year students to gain practical work experience in their field of study. Through this 100-hour work placement, students will apply classroom learning to real-world projects, enhancing their career readiness. The course also includes 30 hours of employment training to help students prepare for the workplace. As part of their learning, students will engage in tasks that help them build valuable professional skills such as communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Students in this program are highly motivated and eager to learn while contributing to meaningful work. They are expected to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a professional environment. The main goal of this course is to prepare students for their future careers by giving them hands-on experience in a work setting related to their academic and career aspirations.
Strategic Sales Solutions Collaboration

Seneca Polytechnic invites you to collaborate with our PSL 205 - Capstone course learners. These students are focused on professional selling, including prospecting, sales strategy, and client engagement. This experience requires students to engage in a professional consulting engagement. The project is divided into three stages: Discovery Interviews Consulting Analysis, and Presentation of Go-to-Market Solutions. This hands-on experience allows students to apply their learned skills in a real-world context, providing valuable insights and strategies to the client. We ask employers to engage in regular communication with learners, provide necessary project information, attend the final presentation, and deliver constructive feedback on project outcomes through the Riipen platform.
Technical and Help Desk Support

Centennial College's Customer Skills course prepares first-year students with the essential knowledge and skills to excel in Level 1 and Level 2 technical support roles in helpdesk environments. Learners are trained in user interaction, multi tier incident management problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, using industry-standard Incident Management help desk applications like LBE Help Desk Software. The course focuses on developing the technical and business skills required for entry-level user support roles. Learners aim to build proficiency in troubleshooting, customer communication, and workload management while gaining hands-on experience working with real-world problems. Employers participating in this collaboration are expected to engage in regular communication with students, provide necessary project information, be present during the final presentation, and offer constructive feedback through the Riipen platform. This feedback will guide learners in refining their technical support and customer service abilities.
Clean Energy Industry WIL Placements
Students have learned about Life Cycle Assessments, Feasibility Planning for Carbon Capture and Conversion as well as Sequestration and Utilization. Included in the carbon portion of the program is learning about standard procedures and emerging methods for operation and maintenance of Carbon facilities. This program also covers Hydrogen production/storage, transportation, and hydrogen economy.

Over the course of 125 hours, they will work to address a specific business opportunity or problem in areas such as marketing, strategy, talent management, IT strategy, new product development, or foreign market entry. The goal is to provide actionable insights and strategies that can be implemented to enhance your organization's operations or market position.
Data Science and Analytics
My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data. I am seeking internship projects that will help them apply their skills as part of their data science master’s program.
