Although you will have access to your student groups all semester we do a structured midterm review. The client is responsible for filling in a very short questionnaire and is expected to give direction to help assure their students are on track (questionnaire is less than a page and normally takes under 5 minutes to complete).

promotional campaign fundamentals of the creative aspects of promotion advertising marketing & advertising promotional strategyStudent-consultants will create a promotional plan for your organization and develop promotional materials across different media. You will normally manage multiple groups during the semester. We either choose 1 or 2 companies based on the quality of the applicants. This way you are assured to have multiple perspectives as our class consists of 35 students broken into 7 teams.
Learners
Your organization will receive the following deliverables in three phases:
- A background document, including promotional plan objectives, creative theme, and key messaging.
- A broadcast script, print samples, and other predetermined interactive and sales promotions.
- Public relations materials, event or sponsorship materials, and personal selling or direct response promotions.

Requirements
Beginning late May, a group of five to six 3rd year Undergraduate student-consultants will spend 300 hours over the course of the semester creating a promotional plan for your company.
Students will research your organization and industry and develop a strategic plan of promotion, based on your objectives. The plan will include samples of promotional materials in different media, such as scripts, print ads, press releases, and sponsorships.
Project scope can include, but is not limited to:
- Reaching a new target market.
- Promoting a new product.
- A special sale or event.
