They can also create results matrices that include measurable indicators for monitoring progress. Projects may include desk reviews of international best practices, ensuring that the recommended strategies are consistent with global standards and applicable to your organization's context.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Cape Breton University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners in this program/experience are very motivated and have the qualities to conduct Healthcare, Leadership, Health Analytics, Data Visualization, Policy analysis, Communication, Research, Analysis, Monitoring, and Evaluation activities which could advance the profession of healthcare management. The capstone course is a culmination of the healthcare management program that sets the groundwork for this course. This course requires students to broaden their knowledge base to analyze specific healthcare case studies, situations, issues &/or research to demonstrate critical thinking for problem-solving and decision-making.
Capstone Project for Business Analytics
The capstone project provides students with an opportunity to apply and integrate concepts learned in the Business Analytics program to solve a business problem using data analytics tools and solutions. The overall aim of the capstone project is to help students relate acquired business analytic knowledge to real business problems. This looks like an internship, a learning experience well-recognized for its impact on the student’s application of classroom knowledge to the world of work, and student’s knowledge of careers and critical career success factors. This course is an excellent opportunity for students to practice problem-solving skills. The course uses Python as the analytical tool to formulate and solve problems based on a variety of mathematical modelling techniques. Companies can define projects in data visualization, data analytics, database systems, data analysis, cloud-based services, software development, and general business analytics projects.
Capstone Project - Business Management (Winter 2025)

This Fall, students enrolled in the Post Baccalaureate Program in Business Management at CBU will embark on a course that seamlessly blends academic theory with practical experience. Over the past 1.5 years, these students from diverse professional backgrounds have already completed courses in Marketing, Strategic Management, Accounting, Human Resources, and Finance, bringing a wealth of insights into this program. Throughout their studies, learners have honed critical skills, including critical thinking, real-time decision-making, strategic thinking, collaboration, teamwork, problem-solving, effective communication, project management, adaptability, and professional business acumen. The primary objective of this course is to offer a hands-on learning experience, enabling students to apply their knowledge to real-world business scenarios. By working on a project that tackles current business challenges, students will further develop their ability to think critically, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively. This experiential approach is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, equipping students with the tools needed to thrive in the business world.
