As part of the 13-institution Colorado Community College System (CCS), CCA provides pathways for professional and educational development. Fall 2025 Statistical Analysis for Business Insights: Empowering Data-Driven Decision Making

The Community College of Aurora is offering an opportunity for employers to collaborate with students from its Business Statistics course. This course is designed to provide learners with a strong foundation in statistical methods and their application to real-world business problems. Students will gain practical skills in areas such as data collection, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and decision-making using statistical tools like Excel, Minitab, and Stata. Through this experience, students aim to develop key competencies in critical thinking, communication, and career readiness while solving business problems. As an employer, you will have the chance to guide students as they apply these statistical methods to your data and business challenges. This collaboration will involve regular communication with learners, offering feedback on their work, and participating in a final presentation where students present their findings and recommendations. You will provide mentorship and professional guidance, ensuring students gain valuable real-world experience while helping your business make data-driven decisions.
Applied Mathematics for Industry Projects
This experience is designed for Diesel Power Mechanics students enrolled in a Career Math course starting on Tuesday, September 2nd and ending on Thursday, November 6th. Our course description helps set the expectations for both our learners and our companies: "Covers material designed for career and technical students who need to study particular mathematical topics. Topics include measurement, algebra, geometry, statistics, and graphs. These are presented at an introductory level and the emphasis is on applications."
Entrepreneurial Business Development Experience

This experience is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the field of business entrepreneurship. Learners will apply their understanding of business concepts to real-world projects, focusing on creating or analyzing entrepreneurial ventures. By engaging in this experience, learners will enhance their skills in organizational planning, human resource management, marketing strategies, financial planning, and SWOT analysis. These skills will be applied to develop comprehensive business proposals or analyses that demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and strategic thinking.
Construction Project Planning
AEC
Learners should be able to assemble a construction project proposal from submitted drawings and written documents. They will participate in brainstorming different approaches to project delivery and make recommendation for delivering the project with regard to multiple factors, including budget, design considerations, timeline constraints, stakeholder interests, geographic and weather conditions, etc.
