Firstly, working on this project, (Drafting ICT Policies for Maarifa Universities) gave me hands on experience and a feel of working, communicating and collaborating remotely in a team, with people I could not meet in person. Secondly, the experience birthed in me a new level of interest in ICT, research, the use of AI in education and learning. I had an amazing experience.

The goal of the Riipen project was to enable students to develop a comprehensive ICT policy tailored for universities under Maarifa Education Holdings, with a focus on Remote Work Policy Development for ICT departments. From my perspective, the project provided a valuable real-world learning experience. It bridged theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing participants to engage in policy research, drafting, and aligning recommendations with institutional needs. The clear brief and relevance to current digital transformation trends made the work both meaningful and impactful. One of the strengths of the project was its collaborative nature. Students were able to exchange ideas, critically assess ICT governance needs, and address unique considerations for remote work in academic environments. The opportunity to contribute to a policy that could have a tangible effect on university operations was motivating.

having the opportunity to work on a real project while still learning how to work remotely has been a good experience. Though i feel there is need for improved communication especially when giving feedback for the work done. I also feel that we needed to be given some material from the company to work with when we were starting the project. We started our project without any internal materials to help us but nevertheless we are grateful for the feedback we have received from the company.
