I develop and teach a range of courses related to protected area management, tourism development, experiential education, and working as an effective team. While seemingly disparate, these subjects are united with a common thread that tourism development and nature conservation depend on an understanding of diverse needs of humans and the natural environment. Humans who represent these diverse interests need to work collaboratively and creatively to find solutions that work. This theme underlines my approach to conservation and development - principled understanding and commitment to finding the best possible solutions.
