Business Ethics

Does your organization have an ethics challenge you want to tackle? Business professionals, unfamiliar with ethical inquiries, often find themselves struggling with ethical issues in such areas as finance, human resource management, marketing, and many other areas in business. Students will explore ethical theories from a multi-stakeholder approach and apply ethical reasoning to an issue facing your organization. They will analyze select readings and case studies to explore key ethical principles and the various ways in which business professionals and ethical theorists address issues that commonly arise in the business world. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a detailed report and presentation.
Recruitment and Selection Strategy

Would you like to improve the quality of candidates coming into your organization? Do you want to revamp your recruitment and selection process? Students will apply current theories and practices in recruitment and selection to your organization's context. Areas that might be addressed include recruitment theory and practice in the private and public sectors, professional and legal requirements, candidate screening, candidate testing, and interviewing methodology. In order to promote inclusive curriculum, an examination of current practice for recruitment and selection of Indigenous staff is integrated into this course. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a detailed report and presentation.

Market Research and Marketing Plan Creation

This semester students working in small groups will apply their knowledge in marketing to helping your organization seize a marketing opportunity, develop a strategic marketing plan, or solve a current marketing challenge.The students will use marketing research, strategy, digital promotional tools and marketing best practices to create a report and presentation.
