Business Analyst Internship Project for Cheffer
Cheffer helps foodservice and hospitality businesses across Canada save money on their purchasing costs and become more operationally and financially efficient. You can be directly involved in making a difference for our customers. The main goal of the project is to utilize Cheffer's internal system to identify and highlight new savings opportunities for foodservice businesses across Canada. Additionally, the intern will provide design and experience feedback on ways to improve Cheffer’s internal interface. This will involve several different steps for the intern, including: - Analyzing data to identify potential savings opportunities - Utilizing Cheffer’s internal interface system to gather and analyze relevant data - Providing design and experience feedback on Cheffer’s internal interface to improve user experience and efficiency

Data Scientist Intern for Foodservice Startup
As a part of Cheffer, this project will help us create our internal UI that will be used to influence chef's purchasing all across the country. Our business is centred around finding cost-saving opportunities for chefs through data, utilizing automations and AI. The challenge in designing this system is also the greatest opportunity, in that we are currently creating the proprietary training data that will power an AI-based algorithm. Part of the project will entail creating a python data pipeline to act as the interface between structured transactional data and ongoing crowdsourced expert inputs. The deliverable will primarily consist of source code that the student will develop on a production data job. New data must be ingested, transformed, and then loaded into other formats that consume it. These are called ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs and are a vital part of the operations of companies across the globe. Technologies used: Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Google Sheets API, Python, Pandas
